# Tested cameras

> Per-camera, per-feature test status for the CamInfoLab browser shutter count checker.
> Last updated: 2026-10-02

Each camera has a status per feature. Being recognised over USB does not mean a camera reports its shutter count, so each feature is tested separately. "Verified" means tested by the maintainers on a real camera; "user tested" comes from results people chose to share. Cameras not listed are untested, which does not mean unsupported.

This file lists the maintainer-curated cameras. Every user-tested model is listed live at https://caminfolab.nl/supported-cameras and as JSON at https://caminfolab.nl/api/cameras.

| Camera | Shutter count | Camera model | Tested with |

## Canon EOS 60D

**Evidence so far:** Native gPhoto2 (desktop) reads /main/status/shuttercounter on our test body: 3887, then 3890 after three exposures and a power cycle. web-gPhoto2 connected to and controlled the same camera in Chrome. The in-browser counter read on this site has not been confirmed yet.
**Counter freshness:** On the EOS 60D the counter may not include photos taken since the camera was last switched on. Switch the camera off and on, reconnect, and read again to refresh it.
- Browser verification in progress. Results shown for this model are what the camera reports, but we have not yet compared them against a native reading on this site.
- Freshness behaviour (counter updates after a power cycle) was observed with native gPhoto2 on one body.

## Status meanings

- **Verified**: Tested end to end on a real camera with this site, and matched a native reference reading.
- **User tested**: People read the count with this site and shared the result. We haven’t tested it ourselves yet.
- **Not yet verified**: We have not confirmed it on this site yet. It may still work, so you can try it.
- **Not available**: We have good evidence the camera does not provide this over USB.
